   Stroke Bank


We may not be in a stroke environment all the while. We store stroke experiences along with their memories such as of the person, event, time, occasion, incident, interaction, outcome of interaction, achievement or failure, remark, accident, and other similar. The recall of these aid in refreshing the associated stroke and experiencing it again. A picture, a photo, a new item, what one has said or remarked, a statement meeting or talking to or about a person, aid in recall of such a stroke.

Stroke Quotient

This represents an individual's preferred types of strokes. They help to keep a person's beliefs about self, others and quality of life in place.
Some examples: A person who is reluctant to pardon will prefer to retain memory of anger strokes for a long time. A person who does not like the job he does at work, will retain tiredness to reinforce his belief about the job being no good. A person who needs to feel tired will consider his work to be boring and very mundane though from his employer's point of view his contribution is very valuable.

Stroking Profile

Stroking profile is a bar chart. It shows the types one's of stroke engagements. It helps persons to know their type should they intend to change their stroking patterns. It is shown in figure 46.

Self Stroking
This can be both positive and negative. Feeling a hype for achieving a feat, for a job well done, for a long pending problem solved, for recall of a happy moment of past times, generate positive strokes. An example is the recall of the love and affection, help, support and encouragement received from one's parents. Negative stroke generation happens when we ruminate hurting, painful thoughts about a person, an event, about something someone said to us. These processes are rackets.

Both positive and negative self strokes help us to maintain the balance in our stroke bank.
