Relationship Diagrams
Relationship diagrams help in understanding the relationships of sorts. Relationships such as between parents, spouses, lovers, teacher and students, co-workers, play-mates, critics and their clients, advisors, psychotherapists and their clients can be diagramed in terms of the principal types of transactions that take place between them. A few relationships are diagrammed in figure 53.

Figure 53

Relationships in close associations like in family, between spouses, in clubs, at work and partnerships are structured to be mutually fulfilling. They may also be marked by gamy transactions. The next section on games will help understand transactions that are gamey and  the special types of game relationships.

Relationship diagrams do not map two other types of relationship. These are symbiotic relating and games relating. They are covered in 03.05 and 06.08 under topic of Symbiosis and Drama Triangle.
