  Unhealthy Transactions:

Game Roles initiating Transactions

Transactions initiated from (-)CP, (-)NP and (-)AC and directed to negative functional ego states in another person are unhealthy. They lead to assuming roles on drama triangle.

Ulterior Transactions

Ulterior Transactions are complex transactions. The two messages - social message and psychological message - are not congruent. Click here >Ulterior Transactions < to know more with diagrams and examples.

Redefining Transactions

Tangential transactions and blocking transactions are unhealthy as well.
Tangential Transaction: In a tangential transaction the response answers another question.
Query: "What do you feel about the arrangement in this room?"
Reply "You should have consulted a professional"
Here instead of an input an advise has been delivered.
Blocking transaction: In a blocking transaction the issue is avoided by disagreeing to its content, purpose or meaning etc.
Query: "What do you feel about the arrangement in this room?"
Reply: "Do you mean the setting?" or "Do you mean the comfort?" or "Are you asking my opinion or advice?"

Tangential and Blocking Transactions are the operational aspects of Redefining.

Tangential and Blocking Transactions can be identified by exploring what the question may be which is answered by the respondent.

Query: "What do you feel about the arrangement in this room?"
Reply "You should have consulted a professional"
It answers a question: Who should I have consulted to know how the
    arrangement in this room is?

Query: "What do you feel about the arrangement in this room?
Reply: "Do you mean the setting?" or
"Do you mean the comfort?" or
"Are you asking my opinion or advise?"
The reply is ambiguous and therefore it is difficult to generate a
    relevant question.
Racket Transactions

Berne says that 'noise' increases the content and quality of communication. Racket transactions communicate negative content by way of 'noise'. This noise may be in addition to the spoken content or it may form part of the spoken content. Bad language, raised voice, shouting abuses, defending are some examples of spoken content. They are Racket Transactions.
