Understanding Games
Games are characterised by participants taking up roles from their negative CP, negative NP or negative AC ego states. These roles are named Persecutor, Rescuer and Victim respectively. People have a weakness for one of these positions. They get drawn by persons who assume complementary roles. Persecutor by Rescuer or Victim, Rescuer by Persecutor or Victim and Victim by Persecutor or Rescuer. A Victim will most likely attract a Rescuer and will exit the game from the Persecutor or Rescuer position. A Persecutor will most likely attract a Rescuer and exit from a Victim Position. A Rescuer will most likely attract a Victim and exit from a Victim position. Other possibilities also exist. Special cases are those of persons entering and exiting from the same roles with greater intensity of the payoff. A Persecutor from a Paranoid Life Position to a worse Paranoid Position; A Rescuer from a Depressive to a more Depressive Life Position and a Victim from a Futility to a move severe Futility Position. This formulation is used for mapping games using the Drama Triangle.
